Tips from the chef: A trip to Italy is closer than you think… no passport required! This caprese *pronounced kuh-prey-sey bake lends itself to be paired perfectly with your favorite pasta recipe. We love a classic Parmesan garlic sauce. Just melt ½ stick of butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat, with 4 minced cloves of garlic, and 2 pinches of crushed red pepper flakes. Whisk together for about 3 minutes, until garlic is fragrant, then add in pre-cooked pasta (about ½ box or 8 oz.), and ½ cup Parmesan cheese. *Cutting back on the carbs? Zucchini noodles are an easy and tasty substitute for traditional pasta. Remove pan from heat, season with salt and pepper, toss in some fresh chopped parsley, and stir to combine. Plate alongside cooked caprese Tilapia. Salute! *“Cheers!” in Italian.
  1. Cook the Tilapia 5 minutes shorter than the package instructions.
  2. While the Tilapia cooks, heat the marinara sauce in a small pot on the stove top.
  3. During the last 5 minutes of the Tilapia cooking, remove the pan from the oven. Carefully spoon ¼ cup of marinara on each piece of Tilapia, and place a mozzarella round on top. Continue baking for the last five minutes.
  4. When ready to serve, place a spoonful of marinara on a plate, and place cooked Tilapia on top. Finish with fresh basil, and Parmesan cheese as desired. Dig in!
  5. For the best food quality and safety, cook fish to a minimum internal temperature of 155°F.
